Courses

Students can study for a Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelors degree and even work their way through all of these qualifications over time. Our courses can be studied full-time or part-time, and each course is designed to be flexible for our students. We also offer standalone, non-formal courses which can be studied at your own pace and independent from any formal programme.

Students with a Bachelor’s degree in theology or religious studies, such as Bachelor’s graduates of The Shepherd’s Academy, can progress to study an MTh or MA through our parent organisation The Oxford Centre for Religion and Public Life (OCRPL).

Knox School of Theology is a highly sought after and accredited institution. We often have waitlists for our degree programs. Though we want to serve as many students as we can, our capacity is limited. Application Requirements

On applying to study at Mukhanyo Theological College the following documentation are required to be submitted along with your application form.

Certified copies of the following personal documents:
- Matric certificate or equivalent school-leaving certificate
- Transcripts/certificates of any other completed qualifications
- Proof of Identity:
  - South African Applicants: Identity Document (ID)
  - Non-South African Applicants living in South Africa: Passport and Residency Visa/Permit.
  - Non-South African Applicants living outside South Africa: Passport
- A completed Church Leader’s Testimonial from your pastor stating your current membership status and describing your Christian character, as well as their contact details.
- A current ID photo

Please note without these documents your application will not be processed.

Once all documents have been received, you will then be contacted for an interview and basic entry level tests may need to be done.

Local Learning students ONLY:
A Local Learning tutor will contact you to arrange a short interview, and complete the Tutor Recommendation Form.
