Library Policies and Procedures

Items may be borrowed in accordance with the Library’s lending policy and only on presentation of one’s own library card. Under no circumstances are books (or any other materials) allowed to be removed from the library without checking them out according to set procedures.

Items must be returned on or before the due date to library personnel at the circulation desk to avoid being fined. Fines are levied per item per day (or any part thereof) on all overdue items at a rate of $20 for reserve items and $15 for items from the general collection.

General Collection

Undergraduate students may borrow 15 items from the general collection for 30 days, and in addition may borrow 6 items from the reserve shelf on overnight loan. Diploma and Certificates students may borrow 8 items from the general collection for 20 days, and 4 items from the reserve shelf on overnight loan.

Great effort has gone into collecting original sources and tools for studying the Christian Faith.

Beyond its usefulness for undergraduate study and postgraduate research, the library is a precious depository of Christian culture.

Serious reading is vital to the study of theology. All courses at the College have lists of required and recommended reading, making the Library play a vital part of the life of every student.

Students can also access much of the recommended reading via the library intranet and the College’s website E-learning library. The Wi-Fi network insures online connectivity to all students across the campus and student residence. A computer lab is located in the Study Centre, so that no student is without computer access.
